BC-222 - US army backpack radio, part of SCR-194. Frequency band 27.7...52.2 MHz was split in two subbands (27.7...38.0 MHz and 38.0...52.2 MHz) selected by manual coil change inside the radio. Voice only (A3), 0.1 W output. Manufactured from 1938.

Supplied abroad by Lend-Lease agreement during WW II but never to the USSR.
