Listed in this section are all of VE 301 "People's Receivers" and smaller DKE receivers that our Museum has on display, as well as other receivers manufactured under "GemeinschaftsErzeugnis" project in Germany, Austria, Hungary and Poland.

Model Information Table
Listed in the Table are all the models of VE 301, DKE
and other “GemaindschaftsErzeugnis” models that our Museum has on
display. The models in the Table are arranged in the order of their
first years of production (column “Year”).

Vacuum Tubes for VE 301 and DKE
From 1933 and all thru 1945, the Peoples Receivers (Volksempfängers,
VE 301, and Deutscher Kleinempfänger, DKE) have been sold at
the special low prices prescribed by German government. The
prices included the vacuum tubes installed in the receiver.
Because vacuum tubes in 1930s were rather expensive
components, to extract the tubes from VE 301 and sell them
in the black market could bring about 40% profit over the
initial price of VE 301 itself.
To prevent such deals, the VE 301 vacuum tubes have been
specially marked by the following statements:
"Bestückungsröhre,
Volksempfänger V. E. 301. Einzelverkauf unzulässig"
which reads “The V.E. 301 vacuum
tube. Retail sale is not allowed”. You can find the above statements on
several tubes from our collection.
