Armeefernsprecher- Army telephone (Armeefernsprecher)
of 1913 was given the name "iron"
(Eiserner) because its rectangular body was made out of iron and
painted field-grey. Previous model of
army field telephone (Armeefernsprechgerät alter Art) of 1905
had an aluminum cylindrical body.
